Córdoba, Argentine Republic
The Province of Córdoba, located in the center of Argentine Republic, covers an area of 165,328 km². It is a member of the joint regional network of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR).
Population
The province is divided into 26 regions or departments and it has 3,308,876 inhabitants, making it the second most populated province in Argentina. Córdoba city is the second largest city in Argentina, after Buenos Aires.

It has become the main focus of the Bi-oceanic Corridor and it has the most modern telecommunication infrastructure of MERCOSUR. Its international Airport, optimal access routes, logistics support services, hotels, gastronomy and prestigious universities are factors that combine to position the city as one of the main destinations within the country.

Within its large territory, plains, hills and valleys converge, giving Córdoba its unique identity
The predominating landscape of these landlocked regions (nearly two-thirds of the total) forms part of an extensive Pampas plain located between the mountainous areas in the west and coastal plains in the east. These geographical features contribute to the development of the productivity of the area.
The weather, geology, topography, economic and industrial structure elucidate the productive diversity within the province. Along with Santa Fe and Entre Ríos, Córdoba is part of “Región Centro” (Central Region), a regionalization strategy which objective is to function as an operating unit in the international economy and promote comprehensive development of the area.
